David Ridley

Drawing upon element of abstraction, David's paintings seek to capture the atmospheric and transient qualities of the landscape; contemporizing the traditional landscape. Through an alternation of line, colour and texture; each painting takes on its own unique setting.

'Rather than replicating an image I seek to evoke the aura of a place, to capture an atmospheric scene or moment in time - immersing the viewer in a sense of space and timelessness. I have exhibited at a variety of shows throughout the UK, notably 'Grand Designs Live London' and 'The Affordable Art Fair'.

David's work can be found residing in private residences across the UK and as far as Qatar and New Zealand. Along with being incorporated into the projects of several well renowned interior designers.
